How Forms Work in Micropage
Forms are the usual reason a static site grows a backend. Micropage keeps the common case in the markup.
form: Contact
input: Name*
input: Email*
textarea: Message
submit: Send
Fields
| Element | Use |
|---|---|
input: | One line |
textarea: / text: | Several lines |
select: | Dropdown |
checkboxes: | Several choices |
radios: | One choice |
submit: | Button |
A trailing * marks the field required.
What happens on submit
Submissions belong to the project. The payload is checked against the fields you declared. A hidden honeypot catches the boring bots.
- Free — stored in the project, 100 cap
- Pro — CSV export, daily email digest
- Pro+ — instant email plus a webhook (project id, form name, page URL, field map)
Newsletter
Toggle Newsletter on a form and the same POST creates a subscriber. Broadcasts, welcome mail, and a delivery report live in the editor. Details: How we built a newsletter into Micropage.
Good fit
Contact, waitlist, inquiry, newsletter. If you need a CRM workflow, export CSV or use the Pro+ webhook — don’t pretend the form primitive is Salesforce.
